I’ve just created a new Wordpress theme that allows users to easily change its colors through the admin panel. The default color is orange, but of course that doesn’t have to stay long depending on your liking.

Download Color Splat.
See a live demo of Color Splat.

Installation Instructions (oh wait, before I forget, you’d better have Wordpress 2.0!):

1) Download the theme.

2) Unzip the file and upload the files into a new folder called colorsplat in wp-content/themes.

3) Go into your admin panel and under Presentation, click on the theme to activate it.

4) In order to change the color scheme of the theme, you’ll see a new tab under Presentation called Color Splat Options. Click on that tab and you can change the base color of the theme.

5) The color changer will either automatically update your style.css (if that directory is writable) or it will offer you a bunch of code to copy and paste into style.css

Screenshots (with a number of color variations that can be changed in the admin panel)

To Do List: (will probably be available with the next update)
-Add customization for:
->what to show on 404 page
->how to sort archives (e.g. monthly, weekly, daily)

Oh yeah, please leave your support questions in the comments; I’ll try my best to help out.
